J.J.G. Ryan, rider of Howlin Wolf, trained by Jack W. Davison, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung right.
155E Irish EBF Hill Of Tara StakesThe Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference in the closing stages, involving Hotazhell (GB), ridden by S. Foley, placed second and Geryon, ridden by C.T. Keane, placed third, where it appeared that interference occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that his mount ran around up the straight, ducked and interfered with Hotazhell, which he immediately attempted to correct. He further added that he felt he would have won the race if his mount had ran straight. C.T. Keane stated that he received contact from Hotazhell and felt he would have won the race if he had not received interference. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that Hotazhell had caused interference to Geryon and as a result of this interference had improved it’s finishing position. As a consequence, the Raceday Stewards reversed the placings of the second and third placed Horses and amended the result to read as follows:
First: Isaac Newton
Second: Geryon
Third: Hotazhell (GB)
Fourth: Wemightakedlongway
Fifth: Flushing Meadows
Sixth: Hazdann
Furthermore, the Raceday Stewards were of the opinion that no riding offence had occurred and that no further action was warranted.
S. Foley, rider of Hotazhell (GB), trained by Mrs John Harrington, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around up the home straight.
C.D. Hayes, rider of Hazdann, trained by D. K. Weld, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran keen early on, caught a heel and stumbled. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the matter the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
The Raceday Stewards requested a report from A.P.O'Brien, trainer, as to the apparent improvement in form of Isaac Newton, placed first, as compared with its recent form. Mr. C. Armstrong the Authorised Representative for A.P. O'Brien, stated that the drop back in trip, ease in the ground and a patient ride from the jockey may have brought about the apparent improvement in form today. Having considered the report the Raceday Stewards noted the content.
155F Darley Irish EBF Kooyonga StakesThe Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident close to the line involving Sindria, ridden by D. Browne McMonagle and Duckadilly, ridden by B.M. Coen, where it appeared the two horses came close together. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. D. Browne McMonagle stated that Duckadilly was clear when she moved over and that there was then enough of a gap for him to ride his mount into which then closed. B.M. Coen stated that his filly quickened smartly, was clear when she went left, she then lugged in front and he attempted to keep her balanced and straight. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted.
B.M. Coen, rider of Duckadilly, trained by Daniel McLoughlin, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount ran around in front on her own.
W.J. Lee, rider of Yellowstone Lake (FR), trained by P. Twomey, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount jumped slowly away from the stalls.

Cleary where it appeared Deluca Chop moves out momentarily and clips a heel. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. R. Whearty stated that he felt pressure and minimal contact from the Deluca Chop. P. McGettigan stated that he felt he had a bit of space when the horse in front rolled around and he clipped a heel. J. Cleary stated that he his mount rolled around a bit which he corrected and that he was unaware of any congestion behind him. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards found P. McGettigan, was in breach of Rule 214 in that he had ridden carelessly, and having considered his record in this regard (second offence) they suspended him for four racedays. Having been informed of the nature of the enquiry and their right to be accompanied, P. McGettigan elected to proceed without accompaniment.
